2012 Summary

In our inaugural season, the “new” Austin Aztex finished in the final 8 (of 73 teams), losing in the Southern Conference Finals, with a final record of 10-6-2.

The Aztex scored the most goals in our division and conference; and conceded the fewest goals in our division and conference. Aztex players were in the PDL Top 10 in points, goals, and assists. Austin players were named PDL Player of the Week once, Team of the Week six times, and Honorable Mention 11 times. Four of our players were invited to train with MLS clubs and we played a friendly against an MLS club. 3 players were named to the all-conference team, the most of any team in the conference.

Our attendance was ranked 5th in the PDL, and 38th across all the soccer leagues in the USA (MLS, NASL, USL Pro, and PDL).
